Petition to Enroll in Five Classes

Any Harris student who wishes to take 500 units in one quarter must receive permission from the Dean of Students. Please complete this form to make your request.

Please note that it is very rare for Harris students to take five classes in one quarter. When approved, Harris students frequently struggled with and did not successfully complete 500 units. Before putting in this request, consider which classes you will choose to facilitate success, which supports you will access, and how you will limit other obligations to increase the likelihood of success in earning satisfactory grades in five classes.

Tuition for Harris students is charged based on enrolled units. The cost for five courses is not listed on the Bursar's website, but it will be approximately 1.25x the four-course rate. Tuition rates can be found here.
